The program is the brainchild of Kennedy and Coe LLC Principall Dixie Larson and Marketinvg CoordinatorCandace Wilson. Representatives from 15 Wichita businessew met Tuesday and formed a steering committee to set in motiomn a plan of action forthe organization. The group has invitexd city and state representatives to attend the The goal, Larson says, is to encourage local businesses to become more environmentallyu conscious and encourage greater participation in recycling and energy and naturalp resources conservation practices. “The reason we did it is to creat a green environment in Wichita and to fostef other companies to participatseas well,” Larson says. The effort already is generatingv interest, she says. “When we brainstormed this concept severalmonths ago, I was amazecd to learn people were very passionate about being environmentall conscious,” Larson says.
