The 70-unit Hawaiiana Hotekl and 77-unit Whitesands Hotel will be managesd by HawaiianStudent Suites, a subsidiary of Hawaiiam Island Homes. The rooms are 300 squarre feet studios with a kitchen and bathroom and open to registeredr students with leases availablrby semester, on an annualp bases and during the summer. The leases will starf the week beforethe ’e fall semester begins on Aug. 22. The Beachwalkk Dorm at the Hawaiiana Hotel, located at 260 Beacnh Walk, has priced a bed in a doublwe roomat $595 per month and $925 per monthh for a studio, single occupancy. Rates at the Whitesands, locateed at 431 Nohonani St.
, are $925 per month for a single occupancy, $395 to $595 per month baserd on double occupancy, and $425 to $495 per montg based on triple occupancy. A securith deposit, application fee and criminal backgrounf checkare required. Peter Savio, ownert Hawaiian Island Homes, said, “For neighbor-island Waikiki is a fun place to start acollege experience. Oahu students may find livingf in a dorm in Waikikia cost-effectivs and time-efficient choice over driving daily from the Hawaiian Student Suites currently operates dormz at Kalo Terrace, Waikiki West, Tradewinds Mauka, and Ala Moana offering more than 700 dorm beds for student rentals.
