Despite an average loss of nearly 10,00p0 jobs each year from 2000 to 2010, ARC projects stronv job growth in the region between now and 2040. ARC estimatew that the region will addnearly 60,500 jobs each year from 2010 to more than 53,000 annually from 2020 to 2030 and almosg 64,000 each year from 2030 to 2040. In by 2040 the region will have 4.
5 millionj jobs. Future job growth should be in high-payingt sectors such as health care, professional, scientififc and technical areas, ARC said. "Employment growt h won't skyrocket as it did in the when the region addedalmost 86,000 jobs each year, but it will recover and metro Atlanta will againb be a destination for job Alexander said.
